TQual Level 6 Diploma in Practical International Journalism, learner must meet the following entry requirements:
- Age Requirement: Learners must be 19 years or older at the time of enrolment, ensuring maturity for professional-level study and media practice.
- Educational Background: Learners should have successfully completed a Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in journalism, media, communication, or a related field. Learners with substantial professional experience in journalism or media may also be considered through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process.
- Professional Experience: While not mandatory, practical experience in journalism, broadcasting, content creation, or media management is highly advantageous, allowing learners to contextualise theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
- English Proficiency:As the programme is delivered in English, learners should demonstrate basic competence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Centres may assess language ability through internal placement tests or accept evidence of prior study in English.
- Additional Requirements: Access to a computer or laptop and a stable internet connection is essential. Learners should be comfortable using word processors, browsing online sources, and managing digital files, as these are core to the course’s practical components.
