To ensure learners are well-prepared for the TQual Level 4 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
Minimum Age: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Educational Background: Candidates should possess a Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy. Alternatively, those with equivalent qualifications or significant industry experience may be eligible for direct entry into the Level 4 qualification.
Relevant Knowledge for Advanced Units: For direct entry into the advanced aesthetic procedure units, applicants must demonstrate knowledge equivalent to the AP301 Skincare to Support Aesthetic Procedures unit. This ensures they have a strong foundational understanding of the techniques and practices covered in the course.
First Aid Certification: Applicants must hold a valid First Aid at Work qualification or an equivalent. They should also be capable of performing basic life support functions as outlined in SFHCHS36, including the ability to access life support equipment as specified in complication management protocols.
Centre Assessment: Approved Centres are responsible for assessing the applicant’s ability to successfully complete the program and meet the qualification’s requirements. This initial assessment may also take into account any additional support the learner may need to ensure their success.
