TQual Competence Assurance Certificate, learners must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Age: Learners must be at least 18 years of age at the time of enrolment. This ensures that individuals possess the maturity and responsibility required for competence-based assessment in a professional context.
- Educational Background: While there are no strict academic prerequisites, it is recommended that learners hold at least a Level 2 qualification (such as GCSEs or equivalent). A basic understanding of the subject matter relevant to the occupational field is essential to engage effectively with the assessment process.
- Workplace Experience: As the certificate is designed to validate competence in a professional setting, learners should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience. This experience should be within the occupational area in which they are seeking certification. Learners must currently be employed or have access to a suitable workplace environment where they can demonstrate their skills and compile a portfolio of evidence.
- English Language Competency: Learners should possess basic English reading, writing, and comprehension skills to understand training materials and participate in assessments.
